Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Shaker Majdi, the College of Engineering organized a specialized scientific seminar on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in cooperation with the Iraqi Council for Engineering Education Accreditation, entitled:
“Procedures and Requirements for Obtaining National Program Accreditation from the Iraqi Council for Engineering Education Accreditation.”
The seminar hosted a number of experts and academics specializing in quality assurance and accreditation from the Iraqi Council for Engineering Education Accreditation. They delivered comprehensive presentations addressing the requirements of national program accreditation, the mechanisms for implementing its standards, and the key procedures and steps necessary for preparing engineering programs to meet accreditation requirements.
The seminar witnessed broad participation from deans of colleges, heads of academic departments, faculty members, and quality assurance officers from various Iraqi universities, in addition to academic and administrative staff of Al-Mustaqbal University. The event provided an opportunity for exchanging expertise and discussing best practices aimed at enhancing the quality of engineering education and improving its outcomes in line with recognized academic standards.
This seminar is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the College of Engineering to promote a culture of quality and academic accreditation, strengthen the readiness of its engineering programs to fulfill national accreditation requirements, and support Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of achieving academic excellence and institutional leadership at both the national and international levels.
