Al-Mustaqbal University Enhances Its Staff’s Entrepreneurship Skills

Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked first among private universities in Iraq, strengthened the entrepreneurial capabilities of its staff through their active participation in the training program “Project Plan Development – Riyada Initiative,” organized by the University of Babylon in cooperation with the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Excellence at the Prime Minister’s Office from 7–10 June 2026 at the University of Babylon. The program aimed to prepare specialized trainers and promote a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among youth and graduates. The university delegation included Dr. Salwan Obaid, Director of the Energy Research Center; Eng. Khalid Kadhim Al-Salihi, Head of the Scientific Outputs Marketing Division; Mr. Ahmed Hassan; Mr. Mahdi Anwar; and Ms. Israa Karim. The participants actively contributed to discussions and specialized workshops by presenting ideas and proposals focused on developing entrepreneurial projects and enhancing their sustainability and success. The training program covered a range of topics related to modern entrepreneurship concepts, trainer preparation methodologies, and national initiatives designed to create a supportive entrepreneurial environment that enables young people to transform innovative ideas into successful and scalable ventures. Participants also received practical training on startup incubation, mentoring and guidance techniques, and the design of training programs targeting graduates and aspiring entrepreneurs. At the conclusion of the program, the Al-Mustaqbal University delegation presented a commemorative shield in the form of the Code of Hammurabi monument to Dr. Hussein Flammerz, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Director of the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Excellence, in recognition of his significant efforts in developing participants’ skills and promoting a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation. This participation reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to developing the skills of its staff and supporting entrepreneurship initiatives that empower youth and graduates, contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
