Future University enters into an academic and research partnership with the University of Nottingham in the UK to enhance international cooperation.

As part of its strategy to enhance its engagement with prestigious international universities and develop its educational and research environment in accordance with international standards, Future University signed an academic and research cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. This agreement represents a significant step forward in the university's efforts to build effective and sustainable international partnerships. The agreement was signed during an official visit to the UK by the President of Future University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Dhalimi, and with the participation of the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in the UK, Professor Dr. Qusay Al-Ahmadi. During the visit, a series of meetings were held with University of Nottingham officials and faculty members from the Faculty of Pharmacy. Discussions focused on exploring opportunities for joint cooperation in pharmaceutical education, scientific research, and innovation, as well as discussing mechanisms for developing joint academic programs, exchanging scientific expertise, and providing broader opportunities for researchers and students to benefit from the advanced scientific capabilities of both institutions. This step is of great importance given the distinguished academic standing of the University of Nottingham globally, particularly in the field of pharmacy, as well as its advanced research and development system and close ties with the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. This partnership also aligns with Future University's vision of establishing a culture of academic excellence and enhancing its presence on the international scientific stage. The visit witnessed the official signing of a memorandum of understanding establishing a framework for joint work that will support research activities, facilitate the exchange of faculty members and researchers, organize joint scientific events, and provide academic and training opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the fields of pharmacy and biotechnology. This agreement reflects Future University's commitment to building bridges of cooperation with leading academic institutions worldwide, thereby achieving its goals of developing educational outcomes, supporting scientific research, and preparing qualified personnel with the knowledge and skills to keep pace with the rapid advancements in various scientific disciplines. Future University is the first university in Iraq.
