Al-Mustaqbal University, the leading private university in Iraq, topped the list of Iraqi private universities and colleges in the 2026 URAP global ranking for the third consecutive year, having maintained its first-place ranking in the 2024 and 2025 editions. This achievement reaffirms its institutional commitment to supporting scientific research and achieving academic excellence according to international standards. This accomplishment follows the announcement of the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) results, one of the most prominent global rankings that measures academic performance and research output. The university achieved first place among Iraqi private universities and third place nationally among both public and private universities, after the University of Baghdad and the University of Technology. Internationally, the university recorded exceptional progress, climbing 294 places compared to the previous year's results. This reflects the rapid development in the quality of scientific output, the increased level of research impact, and international academic collaboration. The URAP ranking relies exclusively on data documented in Clarivate Analytics databases, based on indicators including the number of published scientific papers, the volume of scientific citations, the level of research output, and international collaboration. This gives its results high credibility in evaluating the academic performance of educational institutions worldwide.
