Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a landmark international academic milestone, further elevating its track record of success following the official release of the 2026 University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP). The university successfully maintained its 1st-place position among all private universities and colleges in Iraq for the third consecutive year (following its top ranking in the 2024 and 2025 editions), solidifying its continuous leadership and the stability of its strategic plan in scientific research and academic excellence. On the comprehensive national level (comprising both public and private institutions), Al-Mustaqbal University established its academic stature by securing the 3rd position in Iraq, preceded only by the University of Baghdad and the University of Technology. Internationally, this year's edition marked an extraordinary leap for the university, as it advanced by 294 global ranks compared to last year, reflecting the rapid acceleration in the quality and global impact of its scientific outputs. The global URAP ranking is widely recognized as one of the premier international assessment systems focusing primarily on academic performance and scientific research outcomes. The ranking relies fully and exclusively on verified institutional data registered within the prestigious global database (Clarivate Analytics). This evaluation encompasses the volume of globally published and indexed research, the number of citations received by the university's academic staff publications, and the total scientific productivity alongside international collaboration in joint research fields.
