The Presidency of Al-Mustaqbal University, the leading private university in Iraq, reviewed the preparations for the programs and activities scheduled for the remainder of the 2025–2026 academic year during a meeting chaired by the University President, Professor Hassan Shaker Majdi, on June 20, 2026, at the University Presidency, with the participation of several department directors and officials responsible for the relevant portfolios. The meeting focused on reviewing implementation plans aimed at strengthening international partnerships and expanding academic and research collaboration with universities and international institutions. Discussions also covered preparations for scientific conferences, academic forums, specialized workshops, and training programs designed to build capacities and enhance professional skills. Participants further discussed proposed initiatives and programs to make productive use of the summer break by organizing scientific, training, and development activities targeting students and staff. These initiatives are intended to foster innovation, improve institutional performance, and strengthen academic openness at both the regional and international levels. The meeting formed part of the University's ongoing efforts to implement its strategic plans and ensure readiness for the efficient delivery of upcoming activities and events, while further reinforcing its academic and research presence locally and internationally. The University President emphasized the importance of teamwork, continuous coordination among the University's colleges, departments, and administrative units, and adherence to established timelines to achieve the desired outcomes in line with the University's vision for leadership and excellence. These efforts contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through advancing the quality of higher education and expanding academic and scientific cooperation with international institutions. Al-Mustaqbal University continues to implement programs and initiatives that enhance institutional performance, advance higher education, scientific research, and community service, reaffirming its commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainable academic development.
