The Technology Incubator at Al-Mustaqbal University has concluded the activities of the “Future Innovators” program, held under the theme “Innovation Camp and Project Incubator” from June 1 to June 30, 2026, reaffirming the University's commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and preparing a new generation capable of leading technological advancement and digital transformation.
The program brought together 10 undergraduate students from the Departments of Computer Engineering Technologies and Building & Construction Engineering Technologies, alongside a postgraduate student from the USM program hosted at Al-Mustaqbal University. Participants engaged in an intensive learning experience that combined theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice, focusing on transforming innovative ideas into practical technological solutions.
The program was directly supervised by Dr. Musaddaq Maher Abdul Zahra, Director of the Technology Incubator at Al-Mustaqbal University, who oversaw every stage of the process—from idea generation and needs assessment to design, development, testing, and the creation of functional prototypes. The program also emphasized strengthening participants' skills in innovation, teamwork, project management, and the application of emerging technologies to solve real-world challenges.
Within only one month, participants successfully developed 14 innovative projects and smart digital platforms spanning a wide range of fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), Industrial Robotics, Smart Education, Digital Healthcare, Digital Transformation, and Digital Real Estate. These projects were designed to deliver practical solutions for educational institutions, healthcare providers, industrial sectors, government agencies, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and private organizations.
Among the most notable outcomes were Smart Virtual Mouse, a computer vision-based system that enables hands-free computer control through gesture recognition; Cyber AI Puzzle, an AI-powered interactive cybersecurity learning platform; Smart BioLab, an intelligent laboratory management platform; Interactive Engineering Mind, an AI-assisted engineering education platform; and Aqari Iraq Platform, a comprehensive digital real estate management and marketing platform.
Additional projects included Next-Gen Cyber Music, which integrates Artificial Intelligence into music production and analysis; PhishAware, an intelligent phishing detection system; Babylon Cyber Defense Academy, a specialized cybersecurity training platform; and SOCMini, a compact Security Operations Center designed to provide intelligent cyber defense services for SMEs.
The program also produced an Intelligent IoT-Based Industrial Robotic Workcell with Edge Computing for Real-Time Material Handling and Environmental Safety Monitoring, Smart Autonomous Cart, Advanced Smart Teacher, Future Care Smart Platform, and Smart Vaccine Platform, all of which leverage advanced digital technologies to improve industrial operations, education, and healthcare services.
Dr. Musaddaq Maher Abdul Zahra emphasized that the “Future Innovators” program reflects the Technology Incubator's vision of creating an environment that nurtures innovators and future entrepreneurs. He noted that empowering students to transform creative ideas into practical, high-impact projects represents a genuine investment in developing national talent, accelerating digital transformation, and delivering innovative solutions that serve society and support sustainable development.
