Al-Mustaqbal University and the University of Baghdad Sign a Strategic Cooperation Agreement to Strengthen Academic and Research Collaboration

As part of their shared commitment to advancing higher education and scientific research in Iraq, Al-Mustaqbal University and the University of Baghdad have signed a strategic Scientific and Cultural Cooperation Agreement during the Academic Bridge Initiative Forum. The agreement aims to strengthen institutional collaboration, enhance the educational and research environment, and support the integration of digital transformation and Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies into higher education. The agreement was signed during a meeting between Professor Hassan Shaker Majdy, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and Professor Alaa Abdul Hassan, President of the University of Baghdad, in the presence of senior academic and administrative representatives from both universities. The partnership establishes a comprehensive framework for collaboration across several strategic areas designed to promote academic excellence, research innovation, and institutional development while fostering the exchange of expertise and best practices between the two institutions. The agreement includes the following key areas of cooperation: Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence: Promoting digital transformation in academic administration, supporting collaborative research and innovation in Artificial Intelligence, intelligent systems, and emerging digital technologies, and strengthening the educational and research infrastructure. Research Collaboration: Developing joint applied research projects, encouraging co-authored publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus, and advancing innovative educational technologies and scientific research. Training and Capacity Building: Organizing joint professional development programs, workshops, and training initiatives for faculty members, administrative staff, and students to enhance digital competencies and technical skills in line with global technological advancements. Academic Development: Coordinating efforts to develop academic programs and curricula, while promoting both physical and virtual academic exchange initiatives that strengthen knowledge sharing and improve educational quality. This agreement reflects the shared vision of Al-Mustaqbal University and the University of Baghdad to establish a sustainable academic partnership based on excellence in education, research, innovation, and knowledge exchange. It also demonstrates the commitment of both institutions to supporting the continuous development of Iraq's higher education sector through collaborative initiatives that enhance academic quality, expand research opportunities, and foster innovation. Through this strategic partnership, both universities seek to create new opportunities for scientific collaboration, strengthen institutional capacities, and contribute to national development by preparing graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills required to meet the challenges of an increasingly digital and knowledge-based world.
