Saturday, July 4, 2026 – The Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, Lecturer Dr. Dhulfiqar Ahmed Hamza, held a meeting with the Department’s Quality Assurance Committee, attended by all committee members, to review the progress of quality assurance activities and discuss updates related to academic and program accreditation requirements. At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of the Department emphasized the importance of adhering to the quality standards approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and highlighted the necessity of working collaboratively to complete all accreditation requirements within the specified timeline, thereby enhancing the academic and administrative performance of the department. The meeting included a review of the progress achieved in the quality assurance standards, discussion of the evidence and documentation required for academic accreditation files, follow-up on continuous improvement plans, and the distribution of responsibilities among committee members to ensure the efficient and accurate completion of all required tasks. The participants also discussed updating course specifications, reviewing performance indicators, assessing learning outcomes, and documenting the department’s scientific, academic, and administrative activities to fulfill the requirements of program accreditation in accordance with the approved regulations and standards. Furthermore, the Head of the Department stressed the importance of maintaining effective coordination between the Quality Assurance Committee and the scientific and administrative committees, as well as addressing all observations related to quality files promptly to strengthen institutional performance and support the department’s efforts toward achieving academic accreditation. At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Hamza expressed his appreciation for the dedication and efforts of the Quality Assurance Committee members, praising their commitment to fulfilling their responsibilities and reaffirming that continuous adherence to quality standards is a fundamental pillar for achieving academic excellence and institutional development at Al-Mustaqbal University.
