As part of efforts to strengthen its academic leadership and achieve institutional excellence, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, the university’s exceptional achievements in research, education, and international rankings during an expanded meeting held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, attended by the university’s academic and administrative leadership for the 2025–2026 academic year. This strategic meeting was held to reinforce the principles of teamwork, activate national and international partnerships, and develop the innovative skills of faculty and students, in line with the requirements of quality and excellence in leading comprehensive digital transformation and integrating artificial intelligence technologies, and to align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to renewable energy, healthcare, and addressing climate change in accordance with global scientific standards. The meeting featured a comprehensive presentation of scientific achievements; the Academic Assistant, Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, reviewed the commendable results of the ministerial assessment exams, praising the academic departments that achieved outstanding success rates, ranking first among public and private universities in Iraq through their intelligence and high level of professionalism. For his part, the Director of Scientific Supervision and Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, the university’s global leadership, noting that Al-Mustaqbal University ranked first in Iraq (among both public and private universities) in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026, as well as its leading position in the U.S. News and URAP rankings among private universities. As part of efforts to promote a culture of quality and academic accreditation, Dr. Riyad Hamed Salman, Director of the Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Department, congratulated the Colleges of Law and Sports Sciences on achieving national program accreditation, praising the colleges’ commitment to rigorous academic standards and high-quality educational outcomes that directly contribute to improving the university’s institutional performance.
