Al-Mustaqbal University concluded its participation in the AI for Good Global Summit, held at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland, through the attendance of its President, Professor Hassan Shakir Majdi, at the third and final day of the event. The closing sessions focused on transforming artificial intelligence innovations into practical, real-world solutions and accelerating the deployment of emerging technologies across various sectors. The final day's discussions emphasized the implementation of AI-driven solutions in public services, industry, smart mobility, and future city management. Participants explored international models for accelerating technology adoption and maximizing its contribution to sustainable development. Professor Hassan Shakir Majdi also attended several specialized workshops and technical sessions covering Agentic AI, the Citiverse concept, which integrates the digital and physical worlds, and the latest innovations in intelligent transportation systems and connected vehicles—technologies expected to play a central role in shaping the smart cities of the future. On the academic front, the University President participated in the closing sessions of the Kaleidoscope Conference, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The conference highlighted next-generation infrastructure for artificial intelligence, including AI-native 5G and 6G networks, digital sovereignty, and the latest advances in quantum networking technologies. He also followed the strategic discussions of the AI for the Global Majority session, which focused on developing AI solutions tailored to the cultural and economic contexts of developing countries. In addition, he attended the final presentations of the Innovation Factory, where startups showcased innovative solutions designed to enhance public services and advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Professor Hassan Shakir Majdi emphasized that the summit's strong focus on transitioning from research and innovation to practical implementation aligns with Al-Mustaqbal University's vision of transforming academic research into impactful solutions that serve society. He reaffirmed the University's commitment to leveraging international expertise in smart cities, advanced digital infrastructure, and responsible artificial intelligence to strengthen its academic programs and strategic initiatives while preparing graduates to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving digital era. This participation reflects Al-Mustaqbal University's continued commitment to engaging with leading international initiatives, expanding its global academic presence, and reinforcing its position as a pioneering institution in innovation, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence. Al-Mustaqbal University is the first one university in Iraq.
