As part of its scientific and cultural activities aimed at promoting students' awareness and enriching their academic and personal development, the Department of Aesthetic and Laser Techniques organized an online workshop entitled "Arbaeen Pilgrimage: Values and Organization." The workshop targeted first- and second-year students and was held on Monday at 4:00 p.m.
The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Fatimah Hashim Abbas, Head of the Department of Aesthetic and Laser Techniques, with the participation of Ms. Shahad Nawras Abbas. The speakers addressed the religious, humanitarian, and social values embodied in the Arbaeen pilgrimage, highlighting its role in promoting cooperation, altruism, discipline, volunteerism, and social responsibility.
The workshop also explored the organizational aspects of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, emphasizing the extensive planning, coordination, and crowd management efforts required to successfully organize one of the world's largest annual gatherings. The presenters noted that the event represents a remarkable model of teamwork and institutional cooperation, offering valuable lessons in organization and community engagement.
The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion, during which first- and second-year students actively participated through questions and comments. The discussions enriched the session and reinforced the importance of integrating ethical values with academic knowledge while encouraging students to contribute positively to their communities.
