Enhancing Clinical Skills: Field Follow-Up of Anesthesia Techniques Students at Al-Qasim General Hospital

As part of the continuous monitoring of the summer training program and the Department of Anesthesia Techniques’ commitment at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, to strengthening students’ practical education, Teaching Assistant Hussein Shaddad Hamad conducted a field visit to second- and third-year students undergoing training at Al-Qasim General Hospital. The visit aimed to assess the progress of the training program and monitor students’ performance and commitment. The visit focused on the practical aspects of the training, emphasizing students’ integration into operating rooms and providing them with direct clinical experience to enhance their professional competencies and prepare them for work in healthcare institutions. During the training program, students also became familiar with the components of the anesthesia cart, received hands-on training in endotracheal intubation, and learned about the systems and operation of anesthesia and intensive care equipment, further strengthening their scientific knowledge and practical skills in line with professional practice requirements. The visit also included evaluating the quality of the training, emphasizing the importance of regular attendance and discipline, and listening to students’ feedback and needs. These efforts contribute to creating an effective training environment that achieves the program’s educational objectives and enhances students’ readiness for their future careers in the healthcare sector.
