Dr. Sajjad Alwan Kitab Al-Ghazali, a faculty member in the Department of Emergency Medical Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, has published a scientific research paper in collaboration with a distinguished group of professors from the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf, in the prestigious Open Veterinary Journal. The study is entitled: “Protective and restorative role of Myristica fragrans essential oil on testicular and endocrine dysfunction induced by bisphenol A.” The research investigated the therapeutic and protective efficacy of nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) essential oil in mitigating the harmful effects caused by exposure to bisphenol A (BPA)—a widely used chemical in plastic industries known for its adverse effects as an endocrine disruptor—on testicular function and hormonal balance. It is worth noting that the journal is indexed in both Scopus and Clarivate (Web of Science) databases and is ranked within the second quartile (Q2), with a CiteScore of 1.5 according to Scopus classification.
