The Presidency of Al-Mustaqbal University has announced the suspension of official working hours on the occasion of the commemoration of Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him). This decision comes in accordance with the Iraqi Council of Ministers’ resolution declaring an official holiday, with the aim of enabling the University’s staff to participate in commemorating this blessed occasion and serving the visitors, as well as taking into consideration the transportation challenges associated with reaching the University during the pilgrimage period. Pursuant to the decision of the University Council, the following has been approved: Official working hours for all University staff, except those assigned to essential duties, will be suspended starting Thursday, July 30, 2026, and will continue through Thursday, August 6, 2026. Official working hours will resume for all University staff on Saturday, August 8, 2026. The Presidency of the University prays to Almighty Allah to accept everyone’s righteous deeds and acts of worship, to protect the visitors of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him), to bless those devoted to serving them, and to grant Iraq and its people lasting security, peace, and stability.
