Al-Mustaqbal University has continued its distinguished record of international achievements by being officially included in the Global University Presence Index (GUPI), published through the Top Arab University Rankings platform, marking a new academic milestone that further strengthens the University’s position in international rankings. This inclusion represents another significant step in the University’s journey toward institutional excellence, reflecting the success of its strategic vision to enhance the quality of education, promote scientific research, and expand its presence in global academic rankings and performance indicators. According to the official statistics released by the Index, only seven Iraqi universities met the criteria for academic impact, research productivity, and digital presence. These are the University of Baghdad, Al-Mustansiriyah University, the University of Technology, the University of Babylon, the University of Basrah, the University of Mosul, and Al-Mustaqbal University, making Al-Mustaqbal University the only private university in Iraq to be included in this prestigious ranking. At the Arab level, the GUPI adopts an advanced analytical framework to evaluate universities across more than ten Arab countries, benchmarking their performance against over 20,000 higher education institutions worldwide. The assessment is based on internationally recognized rankings, including Times Higher Education, QS, SCImago, and Webometrics, in addition to indicators of research productivity, scientific impact, and digital presence. The Index employs an advanced methodology that utilizes artificial intelligence and data analytics to assess universities across six key pillars: international ranking performance, research impact and scientific output, global academic presence, international research collaboration, digital infrastructure and online academic content, and academic and professional reputation. Within this framework, Al-Mustaqbal University recorded 2,491 peer-reviewed scientific publications indexed by the platform, reflecting the continuous growth of its research output and the effectiveness of its policies in supporting scientific research and enhancing the quality of its academic contributions. This achievement further demonstrates the success of the University’s vision in building an advanced academic environment founded on educational quality, research excellence, sustainability, and digital transformation, while expanding international academic and research partnerships that strengthen its competitiveness at both the regional and global levels. Professor Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, affirmed that the University’s inclusion in the Global University Presence Index is the result of sustained institutional efforts in education, scientific research, and digital transformation.
