Al-Mustaqbal University Strengthens Its Global Leadership: An Exceptional Leap in Scientific Research and Publication Quality in 2026

In a remarkable academic achievement that strengthens its position among prestigious educational institutions, Al-Mustaqbal University has made a significant leap in its 2026 research performance indicators, according to the latest data from the global Scopus database. This reflects its firm commitment to the rigor of scholarly output and to enhancing its direct impact on the international academic community. The university’s total number of research papers indexed in Scopus has risen to 6,701 publications, with 535 new papers added during 2026 alone so far (the first half of 2026). The university’s scientific citation h-index has also increased to 94, demonstrating the added value and tangible impact of its research across various disciplines. These achievements extend beyond the numbers to reflect the quality of the research outputs and the caliber of the publication venues. Analytical data for research classified during the first half of 2026 showed a strategic distribution targeting the world’s highest-ranked journals: Q1: 45.0% Q2: 24.5% Q3: 21.2% Q4: 9.3% Research published in the two leading categories (Q1 and Q2) accounted for 69.5% of the total classified publications, while publications in the prestigious Q1–Q3 categories represented approximately 90.7%. This underscores the researchers’ commitment to the highest international academic standards. These successes are supported by a broad research network comprising 1,034 authors and researchers affiliated with the university. In this context, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, stated that these outstanding results are the outcome of the continuous dedication of the university’s teaching and research staff, as well as the stimulating environment provided by the university to support innovation and international collaboration.
