Al-Mustaqbal University continues to achieve remarkable progress in scientific research, recording an advanced position in the latest research performance indicators provided through InCites – Web of Science by Clarivate, according to data updated on July 31, 2026, covering the period from 2020 to 2025. The data show that Al-Mustaqbal University ranked first among all Iraqi public and private universities in the number of research papers published in Q1 journals, with a total of 1,560 scientific publications, surpassing several prestigious Iraqi universities, including the University of Baghdad and the University of Technology. The University also ranked third among all Iraqi universities and first among private universities in the number of publications in Q2 journals, with 1,177 research papers, further strengthening its position in research productivity and high-quality scientific publishing. In an indicator reflecting the quality and global impact of research output, Al-Mustaqbal University ranked third in Iraq and first among private universities in the number of publications classified among the Top 10% of the most influential research worldwide, with a total of 620 scientific papers. These results reflect the University’s continuous development in research performance and the sustained efforts of its faculty members and researchers to enhance the quality of scientific output and increase publication in reputable international journals with high impact, contributing to strengthening the University’s academic competitiveness and international research presence. In this context, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, expressed his appreciation for the scientific efforts of the University’s faculty members and researchers, emphasizing that these results are the outcome of the University’s strategic vision in supporting scientific research, promoting innovation, and providing an academic environment that supports researchers and teaching staff.
