Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a distinguished international academic and research accomplishment by winning funding for an academic project under the Jean Monnet Actions of the Erasmus+ Programme, supported by the European Union. This achievement represents an important milestone in the University’s academic journey, as it has secured 100% direct European funding to implement its academic project entitled: “One Health in EU Policy: Implications for Medical and Health Practice.” The project focuses on the concept of One Health and European Union policies, examining their implications for medical and health practices. It aims to enhance academic knowledge and develop perspectives on the integration of human, animal, and environmental health. This achievement is the result of more than four years of continuous academic efforts, during which the University strengthened its international cooperation, expanded its engagement with European Union programmes, and developed academic and administrative capacities in the field of international projects and programmes, ultimately enabling it to compete for prestigious international grants and funding opportunities. On this occasion, Al-Mustaqbal University expresses its appreciation for the support provided by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the field of international cooperation and academic capacity building, particularly through scientific workshops and intensive training programmes that contributed to enhancing the readiness of Iraqi academic institutions to compete for international programmes and grants. Winning the Jean Monnet Grant reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to expanding its international academic partnerships, strengthening its participation in global educational and research programmes, and consolidating its position as an active academic and research institution at both regional and international levels.
