In pursuit of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), Assistant Lecturer Safaa Amer Khalil, from the Department of Optics Techniques, participated in an international scientific workshop entitled: “Enhancing Literature Reviews with AI Tools: Elicit, Connected Papers, and SciSpace” The workshop was organized by Scientific Events Gate Center in Malaysia and conducted virtually via Zoom. The workshop aimed to introduce the latest AI-powered technologies and intelligent tools, particularly Elicit, Connected Papers, and SciSpace, and to highlight their role in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of scientific literature reviews and previous studies. It also addressed the effective use of these tools for searching for scientific sources, analyzing studies and research papers, identifying connections among relevant literature, and extracting information and findings more efficiently. These applications contribute to improving the quality of academic research and enhancing its scientific standards. This participation reflects the Department of Optics Techniques’ commitment to supporting the scientific engagement of its academic staff, keeping pace with recent developments in artificial intelligence and scientific research, and promoting the use of modern digital technologies to advance academic and research practices.
