President of Al-Mustaqbal University Honours Anaesthesia Techniques Department Staff Following National Program Accreditation

The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, honoured the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Asst. Prof. Dr. Zahraa Haleem Al-Qaim, along with the teaching and administrative staff of the Department of Anaesthesia Techniques, in recognition of the Bachelor’s Degree Program in the department obtaining National Program Accreditation, marking an academic achievement that reflects the University’s efforts to strengthen quality and academic accreditation standards. The program obtained accreditation pursuant to Ministerial Order No. (84122-1305), issued on 29 July 2026 by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority / Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation, based on the minutes of the fifth session of the National Council for the Accreditation of Programs of Colleges and Institutes of Health and Medical Technologies. During the meeting, the University President praised the significant efforts made by the College administration and the Department of Anaesthesia Techniques, commending the integrated work of the teaching and administrative staff, as well as the role of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department in fulfilling the accreditation requirements and achieving this academic milestone. He affirmed that obtaining National Program Accreditation represents the outcome of Al-Mustaqbal University’s approach to developing its academic programs and enhancing the quality of education. He also highlighted the importance of continuing to update curricula, develop laboratories and infrastructure, and strengthen practical education to ensure the preparation of qualified health professionals with the scientific competencies and professional skills required to serve the healthcare sector. The University President further stressed that program accreditation is an ongoing process of development, evaluation, and continuous improvement rather than a final destination. He directed continued efforts to maintain the achieved quality standards and complete the requirements of the next stage, while encouraging other academic departments to benefit from the experience of the Department of Anaesthesia Techniques and pursue program accreditation. In appreciation of the efforts that contributed to this achievement, the University President presented Letters of Appreciation and Recognition to the Dean of the College and the staff of the Department of Anaesthesia Techniques, commending their outstanding contributions to achieving this academic accomplishment. For her part, the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Asst. Prof. Dr. Zahraa Haleem Al-Qaim, expressed her gratitude to the University Presidency for its continuous support of the College and its academic departments. She affirmed that this achievement was the result of joint institutional efforts and effective cooperation among the teaching and administrative staff and the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department. She also explained that the College will continue to strengthen the culture of quality and academic accreditation and benefit from the experience of the Department of Anaesthesia Techniques in developing its other academic programs, thereby supporting Al-Mustaqbal University’s pursuit of academic excellence and enhancing the quality of health and medical education. This achievement reaffirms Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to continuously developing its educational system in accordance with quality assurance and academic accreditation standards, while enhancing the quality of health and medical education programs in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4: Quality Education. . AL_mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq
