Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khudhair Al-Hamiri, Head of the Anesthesia Techniques Department at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, participated in the PhD dissertation defense held at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, University of Diyala, on Sunday, August 16, 2026, as a member of the dissertation defense committee. The dissertation addressed a research topic in the fields of medical parasitology and cancer research, investigating the anticancer effects of hydatid cyst antigens derived from the parasite Echinococcus granulosus and their potential efficacy in inhibiting the growth and proliferation of colorectal cancer cells, in addition to examining certain mechanisms associated with programmed cell death. This academic participation reflects Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khudhair Al-Hamiri’s active academic presence and contribution to the evaluation of postgraduate research, while also strengthening scientific communication and collaboration between Al-Mustaqbal University and Iraqi universities.
