As part of its strategic vision to promote international academic exchange and strengthen partnerships with global scientific communities, and with the direct support of its President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdi, Al-Mustaqbal University launched its first international summer training program for its students in the United Kingdom for the 2025–2026 academic year. This unique initiative aims to promote the principles of academic openness and the internationalization of higher education in Iraq, as well as to develop students’ advanced technical and academic skills. This aligns with the requirements for quality and excellence in leading initiatives in artificial intelligence and digital transformation, and supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) in accordance with global standards. The event included a trip by a student delegation from the University’s College of Engineering and Technology in Babil Governorate to the British city of Bristol to participate in a capacity-building program in the field of artificial intelligence technologies at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), where students receive intensive practical training and hands-on exposure to the latest curricula and smart applications, delivered with high intelligence and professionalism. This enables them to interact directly with the British educational environment and acquire innovative skills that qualify them to compete in the international job market. This step represents a concrete implementation of Al-Mustaqbal University’s participation in the “Iraqi-British Academic Bridge” initiative, approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The university administration has confirmed that this opportunity will be followed by similar international programs encompassing various colleges and academic disciplines, to ensure the accuracy of academic implementation and the sustainability of knowledge exchange for all. The university’s presidency emphasized that translating international agreements into concrete, practical programs contributes to improving institutional performance, fostering a culture of technological innovation, and ensuring the quality and integrity of educational outcomes, thereby supporting the achievement of the University of the Al-Mustaqbal’s strategic goals and enhancing its leading role as a center of cultural influence and sustainable development.
