Al-Mustaqbal University is continuing its preparations for the 11th Scientific Conference on Arab Women's Sports. Organized by the university in partnership with various local and Arab universities and academic institutions, the event is scheduled to take place on October 10–11, 2026, on the university campus. It will feature the participation of a distinguished group of researchers, academics, and specialists in the fields of sports and women-related sciences. As part of the final preparations, the scientific and specialized committees held a preparatory meeting to review the latest scientific and organizational arrangements and discuss the requirements for launching the conference proceedings. The meeting aimed to ensure the integration of efforts and coordination among the various committees and scientific tracks. The meeting was attended by the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, and the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Mazen Hadi Gazzar, alongside the heads of the scientific tracks and members of the conference's specialized committees. At the start of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi conveyed the greetings of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, to the attendees. He emphasized the President's directives regarding the importance of unifying efforts, working as a cohesive team, and fulfilling all scientific and organizational requirements in a manner befitting the conference's stature and academic objectives. The meeting addressed several key matters related to conference preparations, primarily coordinating the work of the scientific and specialized committees according to the approved tracks, reviewing the conference agenda, tracking participating research papers and studies, and finalizing organizational procedures to ensure the smooth conduct of sessions and associated events. Professor Dr. Al-Zuhairi emphasized the importance of fostering integration among scientific and specialized committees and elevating the quality of submitted research and studies. This effort aims to cement the conference's status as a specialized academic platform that brings together researchers, experts, academics, and stakeholders in women's sports from Iraq and other Arab nations, providing a scholarly space to exchange expertise and experiences while discussing issues and challenges related to the advancement of women's sports. The conference is being held following the completion of all scientific and organizational requirements and the receipt of approval from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This reflects the university's commitment to supporting specialized scientific conferences and bolstering the role of scientific research in addressing issues at the intersection of sports, women, and community development.
