Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the Head of the University Affairs Department, Mr. Abdul Ridha Shaker Majdi, in cooperation with the Department of Animal Production Technologies, launched a distinguished environmental and scientific initiative to enhance fishery resources in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 14: “Life Below Water.” The initiative included the release of batches of fish into the university’s ponds and waterways, in the presence of a number of university leaders, teaching and administrative staff, and students. The initiative aims to: Support the aquatic environment: Enhance biodiversity and promote the reproduction of fish species within the local ecosystem. Practical application: Provide an educational and training environment for students of the Department of Animal Production Technologies, contributing to the development of their practical and field skills. Food security: Contribute to national and regional initiatives that support sustainability and environmental balance. This initiative is part of a series of high-quality activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University, reaffirming its role in supporting sustainability projects, preserving natural resources, and promoting sustainable environmental practices.
