The University of Al-Mustaqbal officially welcomed the new academic year 2026–2027 on Sunday, September 20, 2026, by holding an Iraqi flag-raising ceremony, in line with the Ministry-approved schedule for the start of the new academic year. The ceremony was attended by the President of the University of Al-Mustaqbal, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majid, along with the Scientific and Administrative Assistants, the Director of the University Affairs Department, deans and associate deans of the colleges, as well as a number of faculty members and university staff. The event reflected a strong sense of national identity, commitment, and discipline within the university environment. The ceremony was held in accordance with the ministerial directives marking the opening of the new academic year. It also aimed to promote the values of citizenship, belonging, and national awareness among the university’s students, while emphasizing the importance of beginning the academic year with a spirit of responsibility, dedication, and giving.
