The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the launch of the first phase of procedures for unified university admission for the 2026–2027 academic year. This phase includes creating an electronic account, completing the required information, and verifying the submitted data, starting Monday, September 21, 2026. The Ministry called on graduates of preparatory schools, vocational education, Islamic studies, and other eligible categories who do not have login credentials for the “Qadim” Platform to access the application and select the “I do not have login information” option in order to create an account and complete the required information. The Ministry explained that these procedures enable students to book an electronic appointment to visit verification and authentication centers at government universities located near their places of residence. This is intended to verify their accounts and personal data in preparation for the launch of the unified university admission channels. The verification and authentication centers include a number of government universities across various provinces, including the Universities of Baghdad, Al-Mustansiriyah, University of Technology, Basra, Mosul, Dhi Qar, Maysan, Wasit, Al-Muthanna, Kufa, Al-Qadisiyah, Babylon, Karbala, Anbar, Diyala, Tikrit, and Kirkuk. The Ministry emphasized the importance of eligible students initiating these procedures and completing their account and data requirements within the specified timeframe, in preparation for applying through the unified university admission channels once they are officially launched.
