The third day of the field-based and academic training program for students of the College of Science – Department of Forensic Evidence at Al-Mustaqbal University continued on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Al-Razi University in Kermanshah, Iran. The program forms part of the development course aimed at strengthening the students’ scientific knowledge and practical skills in the field of forensic evidence. The third-day program featured specialized lectures and scientific applications focusing on modern molecular techniques and forensic biological analysis, contributing to enhancing the students’ practical capabilities and connecting theoretical knowledge with contemporary scientific practices. The first lecture, held from 8:00 to 9:45 a.m., was entitled “Modern Molecular Techniques in Forensic Biology.” It addressed the latest molecular methods and techniques used in forensic biology and highlighted their applications in examinations and analyses related to forensic evidence. During the official break from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m., a special visit and welcoming meeting was held between the Iraqi delegation of faculty members and students and Professor Newbras, Dean of the College of Science at Al-Razi University, accompanied by several heads of scientific departments. During the meeting, Professor Newbras welcomed the members of the delegation and emphasized the importance of strengthening cultural and academic relations between Al-Mustaqbal University and Al-Razi University. He also highlighted the role of development courses in enhancing students’ skills and strengthening their scientific and field-based capabilities, as well as the importance of continued academic communication and exchange between the two universities. The program concluded with a second lecture, held from 10:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., entitled “Practical Approaches to Forensic Biological Analysis and Case Interpretation.” The lecture focused on practical approaches to forensic biological analysis and the methods used to accurately examine, interpret, and evaluate forensic evidence and criminal cases. The delegation’s supervising staff, represented by Prof. Dr. Dhirgham Ali Abbas, Head of the Department of Forensic Evidence, and Lecturer Dr. Maytham Nabil Miqdad, Coordinator and Supervisor of the delegation, along with the participating students, expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the Dean’s Office of the College of Science and the administration of Al-Razi University for their warm reception, generous hospitality, and significant academic support throughout the course. This development course is part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to support academic development and field-based training for its students and to strengthen scientific and cultural cooperation with international universities, providing students with advanced practical learning opportunities and developing their skills in line with the requirements of their scientific and professional fields.
