The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the launch of the first step in the unified university admission process for the 2026–2027 academic year, which includes creating an account and verifying students’ data, starting from Monday, September 21, 2026. The Ministry called on graduates of preparatory schools, vocational education, Islamic studies, and other eligible categories who do not have login credentials for the “Qudum” Platform to access the application and select the “I do not have login information” option in order to create an account and complete the required information. The Ministry explained that this procedure enables students to book an electronic appointment to visit verification and authentication centers at government universities located near their places of residence. These centers will verify students’ accounts and personal information and authenticate their data in preparation for applying through the unified university admission channels once they are officially launched. The verification and authentication centers include a number of government universities across Iraq, including the universities of Baghdad, Al-Mustansiriyah, University of Technology, Basra, Mosul, Dhi Qar, Maysan, Wasit, Al-Muthanna, Kufa, Al-Qadisiyah, Babylon, Karbala, Al-Anbar, Diyala, Tikrit, and Kirkuk.
