The College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University strengthened joint scientific cooperation between the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems and the Department of Forensic Sciences by organizing a training course for students of the Department of Forensic Sciences at Razi University in Kermanshah, Islamic Republic of Iran. The course was held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and under the direct supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, Dean of the College of Science, as part of the university’s efforts to expand academic and practical training opportunities and promote engagement with international academic experiences. The training course was implemented and followed up by Dr. Mitham Nabeel Miqdad, Rapporteur of the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems, in cooperation with Professor Dr. Dhirgham Ali Al-Sultani, Head of the Department of Forensic Sciences. They supervised the training program and accompanying scientific activities, contributing to achieving the course objectives and enabling students to benefit from the available academic and laboratory expertise. The course aimed to develop the scientific and practical capabilities of Forensic Sciences students, enhance their specialized skills, and strengthen their ability to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications. It also provided them with an opportunity to explore diverse academic and practical experiences and exchange scientific and cultural knowledge with international educational institutions. During their stay and participation in the training program, Al-Mustaqbal University students received support and follow-up from the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Tehran and the Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Kermanshah, headed by Consul Dr. Saadoun Al-Saadi and the consulate staff. This support was provided as part of efforts to assist the students, follow up on their affairs, and ensure a suitable environment for the success of their participation in the program. The training course concluded successfully, highlighting the importance of scientific integration between the departments of the College of Science and its role in expanding joint academic and training activities, exchanging expertise, and strengthening Al-Mustaqbal University’s presence in international scientific programs. It also provided students with valuable opportunities to develop their scientific and professional competencies. This activity aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through providing quality training opportunities and developing students’ skills, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strengthening academic cooperation, knowledge exchange, and partnerships among educational institutions.
