As part of Al-Mustaqbal University's efforts to strengthen students' practical skills, the Lab Mentor Smart Laboratory Education Platform was launched in Laboratory 005 of the Department of Biochemistry – College of Science, in the presence of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani. The platform is designed to make laboratory learning a comprehensive educational experience. Rather than focusing solely on performing experiments, students begin by understanding the laboratory equipment, its functions, operating procedures, and safety requirements before progressing to practical application. Lab Mentor provides students with several educational resources, including a laboratory equipment guide, operating and safety instructions, and weekly practical programs, offering a structured reference that supports students throughout their laboratory sessions. This approach contributes to developing students' confidence and accuracy when working with laboratory instruments, while reinforcing the importance of safety procedures and proper laboratory practices. Through this initiative, the Department of Biochemistry continues to develop its practical learning environment and strengthen the connection between academic knowledge and hands-on laboratory skills.
