In an academic and patriotic atmosphere, Al Mustaqbal University opened the 2026–2027 academic year on Sunday, September 20, 2026, with a ceremony to raise the Iraqi flag, coinciding with the start of the new academic year in accordance with the schedule approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The ceremony was attended by the President of Al Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, along with the Scientific and Administrative Assistants to the University President, the Director of the Diwan Affairs Department, deans and associate deans of the colleges, as well as a number of faculty members and staff. The ceremony reflected a strong sense of pride in national identity and the values of belonging and responsibility. The event highlighted the importance of beginning the academic year with a spirit of patriotism and academic commitment, fostering the values of citizenship, discipline, and dedication, while contributing to a university environment that encourages learning, achievement, and excellence.
