Al-Mustaqbal University has launched the Lab Mentor smart laboratory education platform in the laboratories of the Department of Biochemistry at the College of Science, marking a significant step toward developing practical education and enhancing the use of digital and smart technologies in the laboratory environment, in line with the University’s vision of establishing an advanced and integrated educational environment. The platform was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, in the presence of Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision; Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, Dean of the College of Science; Dr. Nasser Abdul-Hassan Nasser, Head of the Department of Biochemistry; and Professor Dr. Dakhil Nasser Taha, Head of the Medical Laboratories Unit. The attendees reviewed the platform’s capabilities and its role in supporting students during laboratory applications and practical experiments. This initiative is part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of transitioning toward a smart university and its commitment to adopting modern digital solutions to develop the educational and training environment. It contributes to improving the efficiency of practical experiments, strengthening laboratory safety practices, and supporting the automation of academic, laboratory, and administrative processes. The Lab Mentor platform provides comprehensive educational and instructional content that enables students to learn about laboratory devices and equipment, their components and functions, understand their operating mechanisms and related safety procedures, and become familiar with the steps involved in conducting practical experiments. It therefore serves as a smart supporting tool for students throughout the learning and practical application stages inside the laboratory. The project is particularly significant as it represents one of the innovative student initiatives developed by members of the Al-Mustaqbal Student Research Club at Al-Mustaqbal University. It reflects students’ ability to transform scientific knowledge into innovative digital solutions that serve the educational process and meet the requirements of modern university education and digital transformation. The launch of the platform represents an important step toward developing the laboratory education model by integrating technology, practical education, and automation, thereby enhancing students’ skills in using laboratory technologies and equipment and improving their scientific and practical preparedness.
