Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a new global academic accomplishment, adding to its series of achievements in environmental sustainability, by advancing to 148th place globally in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings for Sustainable Universities 2026, further strengthening its leading position at both the national and international levels. This major international achievement is reflected in the official ranking results and their precise indicators. The University ranked first among Iraqi private universities and colleges, third among all Iraqi universities, both public and private, and 82nd in Asia, with a total score of 8,475 points. This achievement came amid strong international competition involving 2,016 universities from 110 countries worldwide. This continued advancement is the result of Al-Mustaqbal University’s firm commitment to sustainable development programmes and initiatives, with a focus on the key areas assessed by the ranking, including infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste management, water resources, sustainable transportation, education and research, as well as governance and comprehensive digital transformation.
