The College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness workshop entitled “Safe Handling of Hazardous Chemical Waste and Environmental Protection,” delivered by Dr. Karar Majeed Obaid, Laboratory Quality Officer at the College of Science – Al-Mustaqbal University. The workshop addressed several topics related to the safe handling of hazardous chemical waste and emphasized the importance of following approved safety procedures for its collection, segregation, storage, and disposal, contributing to reducing potential risks, protecting individuals, and preserving the environment. The workshop also highlighted the importance of raising awareness of proper chemical handling practices and adhering to approved environmental instructions and procedures in accordance with laboratory quality and safety requirements. The workshop was attended by Programmer Amaal Kareem Razzaq, representing the Department of Cybersecurity – College of Science / Al-Mustaqbal University, as part of her participation in scientific and awareness activities that contribute to promoting a culture of safety and environmental protection within the university. The workshop is part of the College of Science’s ongoing efforts to enhance quality and safety standards in the university environment and promote safe and responsible practices in handling chemical materials.
