Students of the Fuel and Energy Technology Engineering Department Embody Sustainability Concepts in the Field Through Solar Energy System Installations The Department of Fuel and Energy Technology Engineering at the Technical Engineering College, Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with Al-Mustaqbal Center for Energy Research, organized a practical field visit for the department's students to a site specializing in the installation of solar power systems. This initiative comes as part of the university's plan to enhance field education and link academic knowledge with the labor market. Rather than relying solely on theoretical knowledge gained in lecture halls, the department's students moved directly to the execution site to observe firsthand the installation and operation phases of solar power systems. The practical session included learning about solar panels, the operational mechanisms of inverters, battery testing, as well as observing the physical wiring, testing, and actual system commissioning. The visit witnessed great engagement from the students of the Fuel and Energy Technology Engineering Department, providing them with an inside look at real-world field operations and allowing them to acquire the technical skills and hands-on experience required by energy engineers in today's job market. This initiative aligns with efforts to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and Goal 4 (Quality Education)—by empowering students and equipping them with the practical expertise needed to keep pace with developments in renewable energy fields.
