With the launch of the new academic year 2026-2027, the Department of Fuel and Energy Technologies Engineering at the Technical Engineering College at Al-Mustaqbal University held its first faculty meeting, chaired by the Head of the Department and attended by the teaching staff, to lay out executive plans and define academic and field priorities for the upcoming period. The meeting featured discussions on key tracks aimed at developing the educational environment and enhancing students' practical expertise. Emphasis was placed on intensifying field and practical visits to oil refineries and energy research centers, recognizing their pivotal role in exposing students to the latest technologies and industrial operations in real-world work environments. Participants also stressed the importance of organizing "field immersion" programs for students with partners from both the public and private sectors. This directly contributes to strengthening the practical and applied aspects across various energy fields and preparing students to meet the demands of the local and international labor markets. In a related context, the council discussed active preparations for participating in the 4th International Conference on the Future of Sustainable Energy, organized by the Technical Engineering College, emphasizing the importance of presenting research outcomes and scientific papers that reflect the department's leadership in renewable and sustainable energy fields. These meetings and strategic plans come in alignment with Al-Mustaqbal University's comprehensive vision to provide high-quality education that integrates theoretical knowledge with field application, and in support of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy).
