In implementation of the directives of the Presidency of Al-Mustaqbal University, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, the Department of Computer Engineering Techniques at the College of Engineering Technologies participated in a scientific field visit to the International Information and Communications Technology Exhibition and Conference (ITEX IRAQ 2026), held at the Baghdad International Fairgrounds. This participation comes within the University’s ongoing commitment to strengthening practical education and promoting the concept of “Creating Impact” within the educational environment. The visit was organized in response to an official invitation extended to the College of Engineering Technologies by Amwaj Technology Company for General Trading, Contracting, Telecommunications, and Internet Services. Students from the Department of Computer Engineering Techniques participated in the visit under the supervision of Mr. Hussein Shawqi, with the aim of gaining direct exposure to the latest technologies and integrated solutions in the fields of information technology, computer systems, telecommunications networks, and Internet technologies, as well as exploring the most recent developments and innovations within the technology sector. The visit provided the students with a valuable scientific opportunity to engage directly with advanced technologies and to become familiar with their practical applications. This contributed to bridging the gap between the academic knowledge acquired within the Computer Engineering Techniques curriculum and contemporary professional and technological practices, while also enhancing students’ awareness of the evolving requirements of the labor market. The participation also enabled students to communicate directly with specialized companies, institutions, and experts in the fields of information technology, telecommunications, and digital solutions. Furthermore, it offered them an opportunity to explore current trends in the technology sector, thereby strengthening their scientific and professional competencies and broadening their perspectives toward future-oriented areas of specialization. The participation of the Department of Computer Engineering Techniques at the College of Engineering Technologies reflects the vision of Al-Mustaqbal University to provide an educational environment that extends beyond the boundaries of the classroom. It offers students genuine opportunities to learn from real-world experiences, explore emerging technologies, and establish meaningful connections with the technology sector, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified engineers equipped with the knowledge, skills, and capabilities required to keep pace with digital transformation and create a meaningful impact in society.
