The Head of the Medical Physics Department at the College of Science, Almustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Anis Ali Hassan, received Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Khafaji, President of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate – Babylon Branch, during an official visit aimed at strengthening cooperation and coordination and developing the educational and professional environment of the Medical Physics Department. The meeting addressed a number of academic and professional issues, particularly the ongoing preparations for the new academic year. Both sides emphasized the importance of providing the necessary requirements and facilities to support the quality of the educational process and ensure an appropriate academic environment for students and teaching staff. The two sides also discussed the importance of strengthening engagement with the labor market by expanding cooperation and partnerships with local institutions, companies, and the private sector. Such partnerships would help align educational outcomes with actual labor market requirements and provide students and graduates with practical training and professional development opportunities. The meeting also addressed the possibility of organizing joint scientific activities, workshops, and seminars aimed at developing students’ scientific and practical skills, strengthening engagement with the community, and supporting various state institutions through academic and specialized expertise. The participants further emphasized the importance of supporting academic and teaching staff, protecting the rights of academics, and encouraging scientific and research contributions, thereby contributing to a stronger university environment and supporting scientific and professional development. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining continuous coordination, cooperation, and joint fieldwork and activating partnership frameworks to achieve the department’s objectives in developing the educational process, improving academic performance, and enhancing the quality of its educational outcomes in line with labor market requirements and community needs.
