Under the gold sponsorship of Al-Mustaqbal University, the 13th edition of the Babylon International Festival of Cultures and Arts officially commenced on Thursday, October 8, 2026, in the ancient city of Babylon, under the theme “We Are All Babylonians.” The opening was attended by local government officials, alongside a distinguished group of Iraqi, Arab, and international artists and intellectuals. The festival will continue until October 16, 2026, featuring a diverse cultural and artistic program, including an international book fair, an art exhibition, poetry readings, literary and cultural seminars, as well as artistic, musical, and theatrical performances, with broad Iraqi, Arab, and international participation. The Al-Mustaqbal University booth, participating in the book fair, witnessed remarkable attendance from visitors interested in exploring the University’s publications and academic and cultural achievements, reflecting its active presence and support for cultural and artistic events. The festival aims to bring together various forms of art and literature, including poetry, narrative, music, theatre, cinema, and visual arts, alongside literary, intellectual, and artistic dialogues and folkloric activities, further enhancing the presence of Babylon as a space for cultural and civilizational exchange.
