University President Participates in GOTECH 2026 to Strengthen International Partnerships and Expand Career Opportunities for Students

The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, participated on Friday, October 2, 2026, in the Global Energy and Technology Conference and Exhibition (GOTECH 2026), held in Dubai. The participation aimed to strengthen academic and professional engagement with the international community and explore cooperation opportunities that contribute to developing students’ skills and preparing them for the demands of the global job market. During the event, the University President met with representatives of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) – Khalifa University Chapter. The discussions focused on prospects for joint cooperation and expanding communication with international academic and professional institutions and networks, supporting the development of strategic partnerships that enable students to gain advanced practical and professional experience. The meetings also explored ways to provide students with opportunities to learn about the latest technologies and innovations in the energy sector, participate in specialized international conferences and events, and explore training and professional development opportunities at leading global companies, including Oilserv, Schlumberger (SLB), and Dragon Oil. These initiatives aim to equip students with the skills and experience needed to succeed in modern professional environments. This participation aligns with Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to connecting academic knowledge with practical applications and the needs of industrial sectors, while expanding its international network. These efforts contribute to enhancing students’ competitiveness and preparing them to enter the local and international job markets. These initiatives are also aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through promoting quality education and skills development; SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, by strengthening professional training and career preparation; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through expanding cooperation with international institutions and companies.
