As part of enhancing students’ role in university life and promoting values of participation and responsibility, the Department of Medical Biotechnology at the College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, conducted the election of the Second-Year Student Representative for the academic year 2026–2027, in the presence of the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Hasnain Khalil Ibrahim, the Department Rapporteur, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Zuhair Naji, and Administrative Staff Member Ms. Hiba Salah. The election process was conducted in an outstanding academic atmosphere characterized by organization and transparency. Second-year students participated in the voting process to select their representative, reflecting their awareness of the importance of active participation in building a university environment based on cooperation and effective communication between students and the department. The election results concluded with the selection of student Hussein Adel Hameed as the representative of the second stage after receiving the highest number of votes among the participating students. The department administration emphasized the importance of such student initiatives, which contribute to developing leadership skills and responsibility among students, in addition to strengthening direct communication channels between students and the academic and administrative staff to support the educational process. This election comes as part of the Department of Medical Biotechnology’s commitment to supporting student activities and providing a university environment that encourages active participation and a sense of belonging to the department and the university.
