Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, met with a number of prominent academic figures, officials, and university leaders at both regional and international levels. These meetings included: • Prof. Joan Guàrdia Olmos, Rector of the University of Barcelona (the forum host); • Mr. Marcello Scalisi, Director of the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED); • Dr. Kherieh Rassas, President of UNIMED; • Prof. Hmaid Ben Aziza, Secretary-General of UNIMED; • Dr. Mustafa Aydın, President of the Board of Trustees at Istanbul Aydın University; • Ms. Katerina Wolfova, Head of the Middle East, North Africa, and Gulf Unit at the European Commission; • Mr. Massimo Gaudina, Special Advisor at the European Training Foundation (ETF); • Mr. Roger Albinyana, Director of the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed); ...in addition to various presidents and representatives from Arab, Italian, Spanish, and Lebanese universities participating in the meetings. The meetings focused on exploring prospects for joint academic and research cooperation, as well as ways to exchange expertise and facilitate academic mobility for students and researchers. Discussions also addressed expanding Al-Mustaqbal University’s international partnerships to enhance its academic standing within the global academic community.
