Al-Mustaqbal University Organizes a Specialized Workshop on Equilibrium and Force Analysis Using the Vernier Force and Acceleration Sensor As part of its ongoing practical activities and experimental initiatives aimed at enhancing students’ hands-on skills, the Biomedical Engineering Department organized a specialized workshop on “Equilibrium Studies and Force Analysis Using the Vernier Force and Acceleration Sensor,” linking biomechanical concepts with modern technologies. About the Workshop The practical workshop was conducted under the direct supervision of: * Lecturer Hiba Diaa Abdul Amir * Engineer Mohammed Abdul Karim Razuqi The workshop aimed to equip students with practical skills in conducting biomechanical experiments, analyzing physical data, and connecting theoretical laws of equilibrium with direct engineering applications and solutions. Practical Approach and Methodology The workshop included a series of practical and interactive laboratory experiments, during which participants: * Used the Vernier Force and Acceleration Sensor to measure and analyze physical variables associated with object equilibrium and motion dynamics. * Analyzed the forces acting on objects and processed sensor readings in real time (Real-Time Data Processing) to understand the fundamental principles of static and dynamic equilibrium. * Trained in extracting results, organizing data, and interpreting findings from an engineering perspective, enhancing their understanding of how these technologies can be applied in the design of prosthetic devices and the study of human movement (Biomechanics). The workshop witnessed considerable engagement from participating students, who demonstrated great interest in conducting practical measurements and applying physical equations using advanced sensing tools. Scientific Activity Objectives and Sustainable Development Goals The workshop aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the university, particularly: * Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being – By utilizing equilibrium measurement technologies that provide a foundation for improving medical rehabilitation devices and studying postural stability in patients and older adults. * Goal 4: Quality Education – By promoting practical engineering education and strengthening students’ hands-on laboratory skills. * Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure – By encouraging the use of modern technologies and smart sensors in medical and engineering applications. Al-Mustaqbal University… Ranked First Among Private Universities in Iraq.
