Under the patronage of Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, Dean of the College of Science, and in accordance with the directives supporting student activities, the Department of Medical Biotechnology at the College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized an awareness campaign entitled “Safe Laboratory… Everyone’s Responsibility” on Sunday, October 11, 2026, in the University Campus Areas, at 9:00 a.m. The campaign aimed to promote occupational and biological safety standards within the academic and laboratory environment, enhance students’ awareness of the importance of adhering to laboratory safety procedures, and introduce preventive measures to minimize potential risks and ensure a safe educational and laboratory setting. The campaign was organized by Prof. Dr. Hasnain Khalil Ibrahim, Head of the Department of Medical Biotechnology, along with Dr. Iyad Abdulsalam, Assistant Lecturer Manar Kazem Hasan, and Ahmed Jalal Naama (Teaching Assistant). The activity included providing guidance and recommendations on proper laboratory practices and safety measures. This activity was held in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, by supporting preventive practices and promoting a safe and healthy environment within educational institutions.
