Al-Mustaqbal University celebrated its achievements in international rankings through a scientific event dedicated to reviewing academic and research performance indicators and exploring ways to strengthen international cooperation, competitiveness, and institutional sustainability. The event was attended by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, his assistants, college deans, department and division directors, and a number of faculty members and university staff. The University President emphasized that these achievements reflect strategic planning and collaborative institutional efforts. He also stressed the importance of advancing scientific research, increasing publications in reputable academic journals, and expanding international partnerships to support continuous improvement. The event featured specialized presentations reviewing the university’s performance in international rankings, key performance indicators, and opportunities for development. Highlights included Al-Mustaqbal University securing first place among private Iraqi universities in the 2026 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings for sustainability and entering the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027 for the first time, in the 1201–1400 global ranking band. The university continues to strengthen its academic achievements, with the Medical Laboratory Techniques Department securing first place in the Iraqi National Ranking, reflecting the university’s commitment to educational quality and the advancement of academic outcomes. The event concluded with an emphasis on translating performance results into measurable development plans, strengthening international academic and research cooperation, and consolidating the university’s position both nationally and globally.
