Within the framework of enhancing its service and community role, and spreading health and visual awareness among students, the Department of Optics Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a specialized field campaign for dry eye screening at the New Students Registration Department, with the participation of a group of teaching staff and students from the department.
The campaign aimed to detect dry eye cases early, which is considered one of the most common visual problems among students, especially with the increasing reliance on digital screens and smartphones, in addition to providing the necessary visual examinations for new students and offering them health guidelines and recommendations to prevent this condition and reduce its complications.
The campaign included conducting accurate examinations using specialized devices and technologies, where the supervising staff assessed the eye condition of each visitor and provided appropriate advice, whether regarding eye hydration, daily habits to maintain eye health, or the need to consult a specialist in cases that require it.
The campaign witnessed a wide turnout and positive interaction from new students, who praised the importance of this initiative in informing them about their eye condition and providing them with appropriate health guidance, in an atmosphere marked by cooperation and attention to students' health.
This campaign comes within the framework of Al-Mustaqbal University's endeavor to consolidate its health and awareness-raising role alongside its academic role, provide quality services to the university community, and promote a culture of prevention and eye care, which reflects positively on students' health and academic achievement.
