The College of Arts and Humanities at Al-Mustaqbal University has completed a comprehensive case study titled "Climate Change in the World: Fact or Fiction?", prepared by Asst. Lect. Murtadha Hamid Hamza from the Department of English Language and Literature. The study provides an in-depth analytical assessment of meteorological data in Babylon Governorate from 2013 to 2022, tracking vital climate indicators including rising annual mean and maximum air temperatures, shifting rainfall patterns, wind velocity trends, and suspended dust frequencies. Significantly, the Babylon Meteorological Department has leveraged this case study to enhance its operational framework and local climate monitoring systems. The empirical data and statistical correlations provided in the research have assisted meteorological specialists in evaluating long-term environmental shifts, refining forecasting accuracy, and applying evidence-based recommendations to better manage and mitigate local climate risks within the governorate.
