Al Mustaqbal University has concluded the activities of Erasmus Days 2026, held from 12 to 17 October, with the participation of the University President, Professor Hassan Shakir Majdi, alongside several department directors, academic staff, university personnel, and a large gathering of students. The event aimed to expand international cooperation and strengthen opportunities for academic and cultural exchange. The activities emphasized the importance of leveraging international programmes to advance education and scientific research. In his address, the University President encouraged students to develop innovative projects, actively participate in university initiatives, and benefit from the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme to enhance their academic and professional skills. At the conclusion of the event, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, highlighted that engagement with international academic institutions represents an important step towards improving the quality of education and scientific research. He stressed the need to strengthen academic partnerships and translate them into joint projects with tangible outcomes, while encouraging students and academic staff to participate in international initiatives in alignment with the University’s vision, “Towards a Sustainable University.” The programme featured informative sessions introducing the main components of Erasmus+, including academic exchange, capacity building, joint master’s programmes, and Jean Monnet projects, which support European studies and policy development. The activities also included a presentation highlighting Al Mustaqbal University’s achievements in international rankings, reflecting its ongoing efforts to strengthen its academic standing and institutional performance.
