In remembrance of the distinguished status of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) and the enduring spiritual and human values embodied in her life, Al Mustaqbal University organized a mourning gathering on Sunday morning, October 25, 2026, to commemorate the anniversary of her martyrdom. The gathering was attended by the University President, Professor Hassan Shakir Majdi, college deans, and a number of faculty members and university staff. The gathering provided an opportunity to reflect on the life of Lady Al-Zahra (peace be upon her), express sorrow and condolences on this painful occasion, and draw inspiration from her enduring example of faith, patience, steadfastness, and commitment to defending Islamic principles and values. The commemoration also included awareness lectures delivered at the beginning of the first class, addressing various aspects of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra’s (peace be upon her) life and her status in Islam. The lectures highlighted the lessons her life offers in virtuous conduct, upholding the truth, assuming responsibility, and promoting compassion, solidarity, and kindness within society. This initiative reflects Al Mustaqbal University’s commitment to enhancing students’ religious and cultural awareness and reinforcing ethical and human values, contributing to the development of conscious university students who remain committed to their principles and community values. May Allah grant us and you abundant reward and blessings on this solemn occasion. Al Mustaqbal University The First University in Iraq
